Post Shipping from USA to UK
I am looking to send large boxes containing 100-200 tee shirts from the US to the UK.  They will weigh approx 50-75kg.
I have looked on usps.com and ups.com for approx. qoutes but wondered if anyone could offer me any alternatives?
Initially I want airmail delivery within 7 days but will probably move across to surface when I increase import numbers later on.  Can anyone point me in the right direction for freight forwarding/sharde containers?
I have been told about a service whereby I could rent a virtual US address and have good shipped there, then forwarded to my UK address.  Anyone heard of this?

Many thanks in advance,
Justin

How large are your shipments? You mentioned USPS & UPS, but then freight. I beleive DHL allows for larger packages.

Hi, thanks for your reply.

I would expect the boxes to be around 36" x 24" x 24", possibly slightly larger.  I know there is usally a limit to the size so may have to send 2 smaller boxes.

Basically just looking for cheapest airmail service with a view to swapping to surface mail at a later date.  I know some companies offer shared part container loads so that I could probably utilise this but for the next few months at least I need airmail.

Thanks again,
Justin

I think USPS Airmail is your best choice. I don't know of a cheaper service. DHL, FedEx, and UPS will cost more. Air freight will be more, too.
You do now surface will take a long time to get to it's destination. It is known as "slow boat" Very Happy

Post Shipping from USA to UK
Hello Everybody!!!
I'm your new friend.
Hi Justin,

You said that you need a service whereby you could rent a virtual US address and have good shipped there, then forwarded to your UK address. I heard of this. It was a good experience. I'm new in  here, I like to shopping from USA markets. So My real experience is that To shop from the United States, I've been using a free package forwarding service from www.Viaddress.com for a few months now, and I'm quite satisfied with them... I used them to shop on Amazon.com and Ebay.com and it works great!

The registration is free on Viaddress. They provide you with a personal US address that you can use to shop from any US merchant and have Viaddress forward your packages to your country.

If the US merchant does not accept international credit cards, Viaddress can buy the products for you, with no commission fees, and then forward the packages to you. You just pay for the shipping fees.
