Please let me  explain about shipped on board or clean on board

In reference to "shipped on board", sounds like an L/C issue to me.   Sometimes carriers can "receive a cargo" but it is not necessarily "shipped".  

In reference to "clean on board", this is also probably an L/C issue.  By defacto, the Captain is obligated to make remarks in a mate's receipt attesting to the condition of the cargo when loaded to protect Owners or himself.  Often there are no remarks in which case the B/L is "clean".  On the other hand, if there are remarks (eg. dented, scratched, etc) then the B/L is dirty.  "Clean on Board" is a charterer requested remark and could go in the description of the B/L.  I would imagine that owners would only accept such a request if in fact the B/L was clean (no remarks).  Again, if the B/L is clean (no damage) there are no remarks which already implied clean.

Clean On Board mean that cargo handle and all additional charges paid tell cargo placed on board the vessel and if you are buying clean on board that mean you do not have to pay any port dues at the export port.
